After a solid showing in 2014 and an even better run at the OPEN, New York Inc. will be without one of the greatest hitters in wiffleball history.  Kenny Rodgers Sr. will depart this season, leaving his son and Anthony DiDio to man then reigns of NY Inc.  Senior’s departure not only hurts in the lineup, he also brought hall of fame fielding skills.  Senior slashed .400/.484/862 last season with nine home runs and 26 RBI’s.  His veteran presence will be lost but Golden Stick looks forward to Senior rejoining the league, and NY Inc. in 2016.

With Senior’s departure, NY management contacted long time wiffler and former Fast Pitch National Champion Scott Alford.  Alford hasn’t played yard in a couple years but he has still been active in the Fast Pitch arena, keeping his skills sharp and tight.  Alford agreed to a 1-year deal back in March and immediately fills the void left by Senior and keeps NY Inc. at the top of the 2015 power rankings.

Rounding out the rest of NY Inc.’s 2015 roster we have DiDio and Kenny Jr.  Both players are elite hitters and veteran pitchers.  They’ve been around the block a few times and are tough outs late in games, especially with men on base.  Jr. routinely takes pitches the other way and supplements his base hits with timely homeruns.  DiDio also has a knack for going the other way, but it also extremely patient at the plate.  He led the team last season with 44 walks in 183 plate appearances.  DiDio also blasted 21 home runs, one shy of team leader Kenny Jr.’s 22 dingers.  Look for NY Inc. to be at the top of the standings once again this season.
